General Meeting

14 February 2018
Held at Club Menangle

The meeting was opened at 7.00am by guest MC’s, Christian and Bella from C91.3.

1 President’s Welcome and Report – Maria Sapienza, President

Maria welcomed Chamber members and guests, guest speaker, Dr Rosie King, and meeting sponsor, Harry Hunt from Hunts Country Comfort Motel.
Maria advised that the NSWBC Awards were on again. Award entries open 2nd April and close 14th May. Finalists are announced on 30th May. The Award Gala Event will be held on Wednesday 27th June. A link will be on the Chamber’s Facebook page and website.
The Lifeline 40th Birthday Gala Ball is being held at The Cube, Campbelltown Catholic Club on Friday 16th March 2018. Guests will have the opportunity to win a magnificent diamond pendant designed, crafted and donated by Hennings Jewellers.
Costco is having a Chamber Member only event. On the 9th, 10th and 11th March all Chamber members can shop at Costco without having to be a member of Costco.

2 Meeting Sponsor Presentation – Harry Hunt, Country Comfort Hunts Liverpool

A video was played with Shaun Pereira speaking with Harry Hunt about the hotel. Starting as just a 20 room country motel, it now has 140 rooms and a convention centre and attracts groups from all around the country as well as 1,000 international tourists per week.

3 Venue Presentation – Club Menangle

Club Menangle announced the 2018 edition of the $750,000 Ainsworth Miracle Mile will be held on Saturday, 24th February.

7 Next Meeting

The next Chamber meeting is on Wednesday, 14th March, at Harrington Grove, again a breakfast meeting starting at 7am, with special guest speaker, Mark Geyer.

There being no further business, the meeting was closed at 9.00am.
