Where did we come from and where are we going?
The Greater Narellan Chamber was formed in 1991 and was the vision of founders Matt Leighton OAM and Tony Perich AM. Both men were, and still are, very successful business owners in the Camden LGA and they recognised the need to form a Chamber of Commerce catering for the growing Narellan business district.
Narellan Chamber has, and continues to be, a leader in recognising its growing region and strives to maintain the vision of its founders.
What’s next for Chamber?
We expect significant growth in our LGA in the next 20 years. Short term however over the next 5 years we know Oran Park and Gregory Hills are going to continue to grow at a rapid speed.
With other surrounding estates such as Emerald Hills, Gledswood Hills and Catherine Park Estate, to name a few, already booming we know Narellan will become the hub of business enterprise in not only the Camden LGA but the Macarthur region.
The recent expansion of Narellan Town Centre and the opening of Oran Park Podium indicates to us that business is healthy and that it will only continue to grow.
Our focus will remain on track and that is to not only grow our membership base but to retain those we already have and continue to offer them current and useful resources to help their businesses grow into the future.
The next 20 years will definitely see The Greater Narellan Business Chamber emerge as the leader of the Chamber movement. We are extremely confident with the level of growth happening now and into the future that we will continue to be innovative and push those boundaries to ensure our members and their businesses grow with us.
We have already recognised and acknowledged that our development strategy will need to further explore the need for smaller branches to perhaps be considered. We believe, that looking into the future as having this as one of our options will enable us to remain effective in the services that we provide.
