General Meeting

Held at Menangle Country Club

The meeting was opened at 6.38pm

Welcome & President’s Report – Steve Moore, President

Steve welcomed everyone back to face to face meetings.  He acknowledged the traditional owners of the land.  He welcomed everyone to the meeting.  Steve acknowledged the recent 60th anniversary of business for Tony Wolf & Son Quality Printers, as well as the Blue Wren House fundraiser that raised in excess of $47,000.  Also another thank you and farewell to the outgoing Board members – Shaun Pereira, Leanne Wolf, Sue Robinson, Pania Gregson and Damian Bleeker.

Steve welcomed the new Board – Josephine Byrnes-Luna, Roland Blackstone, Karina Rauch, Sandra Bartlett, Carla Upfill, Kirsti Reynolds, Brad Martino and Jean Alim.  Jeanette Griffiths who was elected as Sponsorship Director has had to resign due to work movements.  Anyone interested please submit an Expression of Interest and at its next meeting the Board will appoint a new Sponsorship Director as a casual vacancy as per the Constitution.

Secretary’s Report – Roland Blackstone, Secretary

Roland advised the Minutes from 8 September were on the website.  The Minutes were moved by Sandra Bartlett, seconded by Karina Rauch and accepted.  Any business arising please see Roland Blackstone, Secretary.

Treasurer’s Report – Karina Rauch, Treasurer

Karina presented the Treasurers Report as of 31 October 2021.  Total income for October $6,341, total expenses $7,403, net loss for October ($$1,056), net profit for YTD $29,308.  Current cash at bank is $112,445.  The report was moved by Sandra Bartlett, seconded by Steve Moore and accepted.

Sponsorship Update – Sandra Bartlett, in the absence of a Sponsorship Director

Sandra thanked Sue Robinson for all her work previously.  Again, if you wish to submit an EOI please do so as a matter of urgency before the next Board meeting (Wednesday, 17 November).

Current financial membership is 128 financial, 5 life members, 26 sponsors and contra sponsors, CIN 1 members and 2 new members, 8 not renewing. 

Of this are 2 New members that have been reviewed and approved by the Board – Oztech Sparks Electrical Pty Ltd and The Unleashed Collective.

Closing Remarks – Steve Moore

Steve thanked everyone attending and supporting the return of face to face meetings.

The next meeting will be the Christmas Party to be held at Gledswood Winery on Wednesday, 8 December from 6.30pm.  Tickets are $75pp and includes food, drink and live entertainment.

There being no further business, the meeting was closed at 8.20pm.
