The creative force behind Glasshouse Fragrances
Nicole Eckels launched Glasshouse Fragrances in 2006 with a spark of imagination and a belief in the power of fragrance to transform the everyday. Since its launch almost a decade ago, Glasshouse Fragrances has quickly grown to become a leading brand in the Australian fragrance market.
The idea to create Glasshouse Fragrances came to Nicole while shopping in David Jones to replace a beloved candle purchased in New York City. Nicole couldn’t find what she was looking for and saw a clear gap in the market.
Nicole spent months researching, strategizing and developing a business plan and within a short time Glasshouse Fragrances was born. Although Nicole had no knowledge of candle making, her drive, commitment, determination and entrepreneurial spirit were the essential ingredients to the company’s quick growth.
Today, Glasshouse Fragrances is the leading fragrance brand in David Jones and has grown to become a local and international favourite. Nicole maintains a hands-on role in the Sapphire Group as the company’s Creative Director and shares her story about how she built this multi-million dollar brand simply by identifying a gap in the market!
